I’m peeved but not at all surprised that AMC - you know, the Story Matters Here people - pulled the plug on Rubicon after just one season. It had pitifully low ratings, but the show was tremendous. Yes, a slow start, and pacing that was not what people expect to see … but it was a slow burn that turned into taut, tense writing, with a great cast. It doesn’t bode well for one-hour dramas that don’t have explosions, cops or doctors.
